THE SOUTH FAYETTE TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE PUBLIC SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM THROUGHOUT SOUTH FAYETTE TOWNSHIP.
The South Fayette Township Municipal Authority was formed in 1968 to provide sanitary sewer systems to the residents. There are currently over 110 miles of sanitary sewer lines with 4 pumping stations, providing service to over 5,000 residents and approximately 180 commercial customers. This represents about 95% of the current township population, only 60% of the land area is presently served by public sewers.

MEETINGS:
The regularly scheduled meetings of the Municipal Authority are held the 1st Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the South Fayette Township Building.
BASIC RATE STRUCTURE:
The base rate structure is as follows; $12.00 per month base charge plus $5.70 per thousand gallon of water consumption. For additional rate details please refer to Resolution 2011-164 on the Resolution link to the left.
