RATES, CHARGES, FEES/COSTS and PENALTIES (
effective January 1, 2010)
SFMA RATES FOR SEWAGE SERVICE:
- Base Charge - $10.00 per month
- Consumption Charge - $5.70 per 1,000 gallons of water used
- Penalty charge of 1% per month for any unpaid balances
Other Charges as applicable:
- $51.30 per month per 1 hp grinder for commercial accounts only
- Surcharges on commercial & industrial water based on ALCOSAN calculations
- $3.00 per month for accounts having credit meters
- Well accounts are charged between 10,000 & 20,000 gallons per quarter as determined by ALCOSAN
CONNECTION CHARGES:
- $4,250 across the Township
- $1,200 Reduction if wye is installed by developer or property owner making the connection charge $3,050

MISCELLANEOUS FEES, COSTS and PENALTIES:
- $20.00 Auxiliary meter application fee
- $15.50 Constable fee for water shutoff door posting
- $ 4.50 SFMA administration fee for door posting
- $30.00 PAWC water shut-off notification fee + $30.00 fee to restore water service
- 10% of construction cost for developers deposit for public sewage line extension
- $20.00 Sewage no lien letter
- Lien charges = 6% per year on principal only
- Attorney Fees for liening = refer to Resolution 139, Enforcement Resolution
- Fees for any temporary facilities shall be set at the sole discretion of the Board
- Dye Test / Lateral Inspection Fees - (see Forms and Instructions)
- Failure to complete required lateral sanitary sewer repairs by designated date, $100.00/day penalty
